Had a great time at the market meeting up with friends. I spent about $20 and bought more groceries than I could buy at the grocery store and it’s all local produce (healthier and fresher.) I bought cabbage, corn, cantaloupe, wildflower honey, honey wheat bread from “The Bread Lady,” and Tomato Basil Bread by Sabrina Hay. Made a fresh vegetable soup and ate with Sabrina’s bread which was out of this world! She uses her own fresh, organic ingredients (her own eggs, tomatoes and onions.) NO preservatives in these baked goods. I’ll be back next week! Will you? If each of us buy local, we can support our local friends in our community.

Thanks Carla for your comments on my Tomato Basil Bread. I am really glad you enjoyed it. I would just like to add that as a vendor at the Bluebird Market, I was very pleased with the support of our community. My daughter (Gabrielle) and I really enjoyed our time there and seen a lot of familiar faces and met a lot of new ones. I was also very happy wth the sales I made of my breads. We sold out by eleven o’clock and had a lot of request to come back. I am glad to say the we will be back and bring more of our breads along with some new varieties. I hope to see everyone there.
